It's the most reliable filter. Booster box prices are fairly stable, and store margins are tight. If a box that costs 90 euros everywhere else is listed at 45 \u00abon clearance,\u00bb it\u2019s not a bargain\u2014it\u2019s a bait offer. No one sells genuine, sealed products at half their cost.<\/p>\n
A legitimate store has a tax ID number, a physical address listed in its legal terms, a return policy, and a track record you can verify. A marketplace profile created two months ago with photos stolen from other websites has none of that. When in doubt, look up the store\u2019s website, its social media accounts, and reviews from other buyers.<\/p>\n
Ask for real photos of the product you're going to receive. Sellers of counterfeit goods often use official renderings or images from other stores because their actual product doesn't hold up under close inspection.<\/p>\n
Many people believe that \u00abno plastic = counterfeit,\u00bb but it\u2019s not that simple: the packaging varies depending on the market and the type of product, and there are genuine Japanese products that are distributed without shrink wrap. That\u2019s why at ShinyHit we indicate on each product page whether the item comes with shrink wrap or not. What matters isn\u2019t the plastic\u2014it\u2019s consistency: authentic shrink wrap is thin, tight, and has clean folds; homemade shrink wrap is thick, loose, or has heat burns.<\/p>\n
Compare them with official photos: counterfeits are flawed in terms of logo sharpness, color tones (dull yellows, grayish blacks), and typography. Authentic envelopes have a uniform factory seal; counterfeits often have irregular or overly flat seal edges.<\/p>\n
If you've already opened the product and have your suspicions, there are some simple tests you can do at home: the back of a genuine card has a distinctive blue hue that fakes rarely get right; the texture of holographic cards feels different to the touch; and when held up to the light, a real card lets light pass through dimly and evenly thanks to the inner layer of its cardboard. Cards that have an unusual sheen, bend like brochure paper, or smell like fresh ink are a red flag.<\/p>\n
All of the above helps with evaluation, but real protection lies in the purchasing channel. An established store is accountable to you: if something arrives damaged, you have a receipt, a return policy, and someone to contact. When buying from another individual through social media, you have almost nothing.<\/p>\n
