The "First Partner" Illustration Collection, Series 3, continues one of the most beautiful themes of the Pokémon TCG's 30th anniversary: the one that pays tribute to the starter Pokémon with which millions of Trainers began their adventures. This third installment is dedicated to the first partners from Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea.
Each box includes a promotional pack containing 3 of the 9 Illustration Rare cards in the series, as well as 2 booster packs and stickers. The Illustration Rare cards are the heart of the product: full-card illustrations that treat the initials with the care they deserve.
The format has a well-balanced element of excitement: you know you’ll get 3 Illustration Rares, but you don’t know which 3 out of the 9, so completing the set encourages you to open more than one box or trade cards with other collectors. Anyone who’s followed the previous releases already knows how it works and probably has a spot reserved in their album for these nine.
This Series 3 precedes the big anniversary premiere: it arrives on August 7, 2026, a few weeks before the 30th Celebration expansion kicks off the 30th-anniversary celebration on September 16 with the TCG’s first simultaneous global release. It’s, therefore, the perfect appetizer to get things revved up.
